Each kit includes all the specific items selected by your child’s teacher and will be delivered directly to their classroom before school starts.

A BIG thank you to the Dad's Club who spent Saturday morning doing various campus maintenance projects around our campus! We are currently seeking volunteers to serve as Room Parents, an essential role that helps bring our school community together by supporting teachers, coordinating class events, and helping keep families informed and engaged.

The Condit Giving Tree is our school's annual fundraiser campaign. Contributions provide the essential, unrestricted funds that make up the majority of the PTO's budget each year. This year's campaign will run until October 31st. 100% of contributions to The Condit Giving Tree campaign go to supporting the school, students, and staff.

Join us for a fun and casual Back-to-School Happy Hour — a chance for parents to mix, mingle, and celebrate the start of another exciting year. Whether you're reconnecting after summer or meeting new faces for the first time, it’s a great way to build community.

After happy hour, please consider taking dinner home to the family or have the family join you at Mandito’s for dinner! 15% of all proceeds will go directly to support the Condit PTO — so every sip and every bite supports our students!

Please note that this Spirit Event at Mandito’s is actually an all-day event (11 AM-9 PM) on August 21, meaning that if you order lunch or food at any point of the day, 15% of proceeds goes back to the PTO.

Bring the whole family and join us for our Annual Welcome Picnic, a cherished Condit tradition filled with delicious food, live music from the Marmon/Boedeker Band, fun games, and great company. Reconnect with old friends, meet new families, and help us build a strong sense of community at our beloved Condit Elementary.

Pack your own picnic dinner or purchase something to eat from one of our tasty food trucks - either way, come hungry for food and connection! And don’t forget to bring a picnic blanket and/or lawn chairs for your family. Activities include rock painting for the 'Condit Rocks' rock garden, friendship bracelet making Condit-style, soccer and fun yard games!

Condit alumni & families are welcome too, and we plan to take an alumni photo at 7 PM on the deck. Please join us, former Condit Cats!

Registration Opens: Sunday, August 10

Keep this on your radar to complete starting August 10th. If you try to complete prior to August 10th, you will have to re-do your registration again.

All volunteers in HISD must register to be VIPS-approved.

Please register at least two weeks before your scheduled volunteer shift, as it can take three to five business days to complete the background check. Even if you were previously VIPS approved, you will need to register again as your approval expires at the end of each school year.
